Luciana was born at home in Rome through her father and mother - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi an Italian Army officer, and her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was the one of Benito's mistresses. There's no evidence of her having any siblings. Her high school was a neighborhood school, and after graduation in 1955, she enrolled in navy engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the sole female in the class. Within two years she began her modelling career. Shortly after that she got a chance to act in Three Coins in the Fountain during a trip to Rome visiting the friend of her father. Brett Halsey was the first man she married. He is an actor. They completed Return to the Peyton Palace together after their 1960 wedding. Luciana was granted custody following divorce. They had a baby boy named Charles which was born June of 1961. Luciana and Tony Athony had a relationship from 1962 to 1970. Tony Athony played an actor and producer who was influenced by Luciana's work on the movie Green Slime. Based on this, he produced and wrote the Spaghetti Western hybrid that became popular.
