Pickler was raised in a challenging environment. At the age of two the mother of her fled from an unfaithful relationship. Pickler was brought back to the mother she had left in 1995, when she assumed custody. However, things didn't work out as expected. So when she was 12 the court returned Pickler to her grandparents - who took care of her until she reached adulthood. Pickler did not have the capacity to raise her children when they were absent. She stated that her time was not enough and that she had to learn how to take care of the family from a very young age. Pickler had been the cheerleader at middle and high school.
